THE ART OF MOROCCAN SMITH

The Souq which means Free Market in Arabic in Marrakech, Morocco are divided into many areas. Each area sells different types of local products and one part that I had spend most of my time wandering around was the smith area.

You can find local men spending their time crafting different things which can be  as simple as steel table stand, gold/silver jewelry, beautiful ceiling lamp and even Aladdin Genie lamp. Their crafting skill is amazing and the design is very unique to a traveller like me. If you happen to be in Morocco, the Souq is one of the places that you should visit, especially for those of you who are interested in purchasing unique souvenir to bring back home.
